Three Men Shot Near Mini Market
LOS ANGELES -- Three men were shot near a mini market in the unincorporated Florence area Thursday, but after assessment at a trauma center, it appeared their wounds were not life-threatening, authorities said.
The shooting occurred near Florence and Hooper avenues at 4:12 p.m., according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher. The men were taken to a trauma center, the dispatcher said.
It was not clear why the men were shot, but their wounds were not life-threatening, said Lt. Douglas Slaughter of the Sheriff's Century Station.
"It occurred in front of a mini market, but at this point there's no indication of a robbery and we don't know if it was gang-related," Slaughter said. "We have nothing on a suspect or suspects."
